KSDC is launching One District One Skill on 14 July to promote native skills by providing training in design, technical upgradation, market linkage and financial guidance, to close to 100 artisans in each district.
Following are the features of the Scheme
- One District One Skill (ODOS) is conceptualised to recognize the native skills across Karnataka and promote self-employment and entrepreneurship in native skills
- The ODOS mainly targets clusters engaged in native skills
- Skills are selected based on the inputs from each districts on the number of people and communities engaged in making the product
- Upskilling, Design upgradation, market linkage, and Branding training through government and NGOs.
- Training for 100 people in each skill in each district
- The trained candidates to be provided loan under PMEGP and other self employment schemes
- Marketing support through association with e-commerce platforms
